ABOUT THE ARTIST

Rafael Aldama Chiroles was born on August 24, 1995 in Havana, Cuba, into a humble family. Since he was a child he became passionate about music and studied at the Conservatory of Havana "Paulita Concepción" at the elementary level, specializing in classical double bass. Then he continued his studies at the middle level at the "Amadeo Roldán" school, also in classical double bass, and graduated from the "Guillermo Tomás" school in Reparto Guanabacoa.

After completing his studies, he began his career playing the electric bass with Cuban singer Daymée Rosena, participating in international festivals such as Glastonbury, Heritage and WOMAD in Australia. He has also collaborated with other artists, such as Cimafunk, with whom he has played with at several international festivals.
